Good rainfall totals are still expected over the next few days with generally 20 to 50mm on the plains and up to 100 to 150mm on the western slopes of the Alps and the Massif Central.
Only the Mediterranean regions will remain unaffected. With the persistence of this disturbed weather, the situation will continue to improve on the surface drought front.
Unfortunately, this will not make up for the delay accumulated this winter in groundwater recharge.
