Reference evapotranspiration joins the panel of variables available on our FROGCAST API!
This parameter allows in particular to predict the drying of soils and thus to optimize the irrigation of crops.

Our calculations are based on the FAO Penman-Monteith equation, which relies on many meteorological variables (temperature, air humidity, wind, solar radiation, atmospheric pressure, etc.). This formula is recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Meteorological Organization.
While reference evapotranspiration is most often calculated on a daily time step, FROGCAST provides its results on an hourly time step, thus increasing accuracy and taking advantage of high-frequency weather data.
