Solar and wind power are inherently tied to meteorological conditions, imposing a major constraint on the entire electricity value chain. Whether for transmission and distribution System operators, power plant managers, or electricity sellers in the markets, having the most reliable and accurate electricity production forecasts is crucial. Steadysun comprehensively addresses this need, relying notably on Frogcast's probabilistic and high-resolution forecasts.

Recently, Steadysun participated in various exercises evaluating the quality of its forecasts by comparing them to those of several competitors at sites in Spain and Romania. By consistently ranking at the top in their last three benchmarks, Steadysun has demonstrated the reliability of its new forecasting system integrating data from the Frogcast API. This collaboration has allowed the company to enhance the accuracy of its forecasts by approximately +5 to +10%, on an annual average.

These rigorous comparison exercises, spanning 5 to 6 months, engaged 6 to 11 participants and included power plants in both Spain and Romania.
